SymTorrent
After a long delay and a sudden burst of nostalgia, I updated SymTorrent to support Symbian^3 SDK and fixed the memory card selection bug so that all drives are visible. Get SymTorrent 1.51.
I can't promise that there will be more updates but anyhow, if you find a bug or want a new feature, please submit it on GitHub.

The project has been added to GitHub. You can download the complete source code from https://github.com/kenley/SymTorrent. Sorry for the delay. If anyone is interested in continuing working on the project please feel free to do so.

I have created a self-signed version (similar to the earlier releases). It will display a couple of warning popups during installation ("Not trusted application", "The application may not be compatible with the phone", etc.), but it should work on all Symbian devices.
Download SymTorrent 1.50

I have just received an email from Ovi Store stating that since "SymTorrent app enables the illegal distribution of music in the form of torrents", it will be removed from Ovi. So that's it. No comment. Btw, the app was download more than 26500 times in less than 2 weeks. I will create a separate sis installer, similar to the previous versions, sometime in the following weeks.

After the long waiting it is finally downloadable. Just search for "SymTorrent" using the Ovi Store client, or visit http://store.ovi.com/content/79370. If you like (or dislike) the app please write a review in Ovi (especially since user registrations is still not working on this site). I will check them all out.
SymTorrent has been removed from Ovi Store after one week. Download SymTorrent 1.50 from this site

According to the Ovi Store publishing site, SymTorrent has passed QA 10 hours ago. We still need to wait a few more days until it appears in Ovi Store, but from now on, in theory, everything should be ok. I will post here the link as soon as I get it.

Ok, so I'm still waiting for the results of the review process. Actually SymTorrent has been rejected two times this far. First they complained about some missing metadata which turned out to be a false error after exchanging some emails. Second time, the problem was that "I did not gave a device as fully tested for all supported platforms" (which is strange since I gave an S60 5th, a 3.1 and a 3.2 device as fully tested test devices but for some reason this was not enough. Last time I selected all compatible dives as fully tested and now waiting for their next response.

They surely take their time reviewing SymTorrent. I guess it's normal that the end of the year and Christmas didn't really speed up things, but now we over the 6-8 business day limit like two times. In the unlucky case that Ovi Store completely rejects SymTorrent, I will try to release it in the same way we did before (direct download from the web site).

Finally, a new version of SymTorrent is ready and I have submitted it to Ovi Store. Now we need to wait 6-8 business days to see if it passes their QA tests.
I have fixed several serious bugs causing crashes, polished the UI a bit and improved the torrent engine as well. For the full list of new features please wait until it gets released. I'm also planning on moving the source code to a source control repository hub, e.g. github.

I just wanted to let you know that I've started working on releasing SymTorrent in Ovi Store. I can' promise that it will have any new features, but I will try to at least look into the most significant bugs you reported in the last two years (yeah, I know, long time since any development done here).
